Tillo announced a partnership with employee-recognition provider HiThrive on July 23, 2026, connecting its software to a digital gift card catalogue through one API. The companies described more than 4,000 reward options and delivery in over 100 countries. [S01]

Software subscriptions and funded rewards have separate costs

HiThrive sells recognition and celebration software on a per-user subscription basis. Its published plans distinguish peer recognition, celebrations and broader engagement features. Points and funded rewards are optional: the company says a customer can use recognition without either, with no minimum reward balance or purchase. [S03]

With Monthly selected on the live pricing page on October 19, Core cost USD 1.50, Celebrate USD 2.50 and Pro USD 4 per user per month. Annual selection showed different monthly-equivalent figures and is excluded from the chart. These are software-access prices, not reward face values, card-processing charges or a disclosed Tillo margin. [S03]

Software subscription only; funded rewards remain separate and optional. Annual-equivalent prices are excluded. The public page uses some older plan labels elsewhere; these are the names and prices visibly shown in its live monthly comparison. No deployment, redemption or retention outcome is measured.

That distinction explains the partnership better than catalogue size alone. HiThrive's recurring software relationship is with the employer. Tillo supplies a way to fulfil a reward when that employer chooses to fund one. Reward face value and software subscription revenue are separate parts of the programme.

HiThrive founder and CEO Josh Zacharias said Tillo's reach, catalogue and API were reasons for the selection. Tillo CEO Alex Preece presented the integration as connecting global delivery with locally relevant choice. The announcement does not disclose their commercial terms or customer deployment numbers. [S01]

An employer with staff in several countries wants one recognition process, but a reward still has to be useful where each employee lives. Adding regional choices can remove a reason to run separate vendors and administrative workflows. For HiThrive, that could make its software suitable for a broader employer account.

For Tillo, the integration creates access to reward orders originating inside another company's software. It can expand distribution without acquiring every employer directly. HiThrive retains the recognition experience, while Tillo works behind it. Neither party has published evidence that the arrangement has improved employee retention or programme participation.

Local choice

Which brands and denominations each workforce can actually access

Budget control

How funding, currency conversion and unused allocations are handled

Recipient support

Who resolves a failed delivery or a redemption problem

These are operational questions raised by the model, not features confirmed for every deployment. Aggregate catalogue counts do not mean every brand or denomination is available in each country. Currency handling and recipient support also affect the employer's total cost.

The published pricing model charges for access to the software as users join or leave a team. That means successful expansion inside an employer can increase HiThrive's subscription base, while more reward activity can create fulfilment demand. The economics still depend on what the employer funds and on the undisclosed supplier arrangement. [S03]

A useful evaluation separates a colleague's recognition message, delivery of a reward and successful redemption. Those events can fail independently. The partnership strengthens the delivery proposition; it does not establish that a larger catalogue alone creates a better workplace.
