TruCentive has proposed a 90-day onboarding framework that pairs training and workplace introductions with timely recognition. Its January 2025 guidance recommends planning the experience before a new employee’s first day and continuing support after the initial induction.

The suggested sequence begins with a welcome message and an optional digital gift card two weeks before the start date. It also includes allowing new hires to choose branded items, followed by a first-day lunch and informal conversations with colleagues.

Coffee gift cards can support those introductions for remote and office-based employees, according to the company. During the first month, the plan adds role-specific training, time with the manager, team activities and a feedback session.

TruCentive suggests acknowledging progress at 30 days and marking the end of the 90-day onboarding period with a suitable gift. It positions those rewards alongside clear expectations, mentoring and practical support rather than as the entire onboarding process.

The company also recommends six-month and one-year recognition, regular check-ins and development opportunities. Its aim is to maintain the connection formed during onboarding as an employee becomes established in the team.
