Sendoso announced the acquisition of Merch on May 19, 2026, adding branded merchandise sourcing and production to its gifting and direct-mail operations. Financial terms were not disclosed in the announcement. [S01]

Merch brings a network of more than 100 production facilities and relationships with manufacturers and decorators, according to the companies. That network broadens Sendoso's access to production capacity; it does not establish that Sendoso owns each factory. [S01] [S02]

Connecting production to delivery

Co-CEO Abhay Rajaram positioned the deal around the work that happens before a gift reaches a warehouse: product choice, branding, sourcing and decoration. Combining those functions with storage, kitting and delivery is intended to reduce the number of hand-offs involved in a corporate merchandise programme.

Connecting the finished item with Sendoso's sending workflow

The practical issue is inventory. A company ordering merchandise for a small campaign may not want the same buying process or stock commitment as a large event programme. The acquisition gives Sendoso another way to address that range, while promised improvements in cost, speed and quality remain supplier claims rather than independently demonstrated outcomes. [S01]

Existing vendors remain an option

Sendoso said customers could continue using their established suppliers. Merch's own announcement similarly told customers that their login, account contacts and production network would continue, with access to additional fulfilment capabilities when required. [S01] [S02]

Carson Hunt said he would join Sendoso as general manager of Merch by Sendoso. His announcement also described an existing relationship between the businesses before the acquisition. [S03]

For buyers, the significance lies in making production and sending easier to coordinate, while preserving a choice of suppliers. The commercial value will depend on the actual products, quantities and service terms available for each programme. The announcement did not disclose a universal price reduction or delivery-time guarantee.
