Virtual Incentives announced more than 250 additional branded gift cards for the Middle East and North Africa on 15 March 2021. Its country examples covered the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. That historical launch claim concerns the supplier’s distribution catalogue; it does not measure recipient use. [1]
Local reward choice depends on the product and programme
The company positioned the expansion for market-research firms, sample providers, employee and channel-sales programmes, and customer acquisition and loyalty platforms. Its examples included Deliveroo, Tavola, Tradeline, Mango, Saco, Careem and Damas. Those examples describe the announcement, rather than a promise that every named offer remains orderable today. [1]

A later source permits a more reproducible comparison of the same seven markets. The supplier’s 2026 workbook contains 309 rows classified as eGift Card for those country labels. Removing 10 duplicate entries leaves 299 country-specific entries. The UAE accounts for 95, Qatar 58 and Saudi Arabia 54; the other four country totals appear in the chart. This is a census of the published file, not an estimate of the complete MENA gift-card market. [2]
The calculation uses the worksheet’s brand, category, currency, denominations and delivery fields. It merges explicit country-label variants with trailing spaces and treats differently formatted copies of the same decimal denomination schedule as duplicates. It preserves distinct fixed amounts and ranges, keeps other brand labels unchanged, and does not convert currencies. The workbook’s internal modification timestamp is 23 September 2026; the file was retrieved on 19 October. Neither date establishes when every entry became available. [2]
The website’s separate headline counts have a different scope: it advertises more than 180 UAE brands and more than 110 Saudi brands, for example. Those claims cannot be substituted for the file census or compared with the 2021 announcement as a consistent growth series. The public workbook does not expose the product SKU identifiers used in the company’s API documentation, so the deduplication identifies matching published terms rather than proving that two rows represent the same contractual SKU. For a business buyer, an entry is the starting point for checking the actual reward. Virtual Incentives’ product terms make delivery conditional on issuer approval, cleared payment and valid recipient details, and place redemption and card-specific conditions with the issuer. The terms also allow issuer restrictions on denomination and geography. A country catalogue therefore supports local selection; it does not make each voucher interchangeable across currencies, merchants or customer programmes. [4]
