Gratifii has agreed to supply cinema tickets to Blackhawk Network Australia’s rewards and loyalty customers, according to a September 7 company announcement. Distribution runs through Blackhawk’s API, connecting its clients with Gratifii’s Australian cinema network.
Gratifii puts that network at 199 locations across 18 chains, including major operators and independents. It says direct cinema contracts support access to inventory and pricing, ticket delivery and redemption, together with consolidated reconciliation. The release does not disclose a contract value or ticket-volume commitment.
An experience alongside the gift card
Cinema tickets add a specific leisure experience to the reward catalogue. The commercial arrangement described is a distribution agreement, not an acquisition of either company or of the cinemas themselves.
Gratifii’s wider rewards business combines movie vouchers, gift cards and other offers for employee, member and customer programmes. Its product page distinguishes a custom-branded rewards store from its standard Perks Portal: the latter does not include gift cards. That distinction matters when comparing catalogue breadth across different products.
For a programme manager, adding cinema inventory is only useful if members can understand where a ticket works and how to redeem it. A familiar consumer reward still requires dependable availability, delivery and accounting behind the scenes.
One distribution connection
The practical attraction of the agreement is consolidating supplier access for enterprise rewards customers. Its value will ultimately depend on the choices members actually receive and the redemption experience. The announcement provides the network’s stated scale, but no results on take-up, repeat use or incremental cinema attendance.
