HiFives announced an AI support chatbot and a Microsoft Teams app on September 9, 2026. The chatbot adds assistance to its employee recognition platform; the Teams app brings recognition and access to rewards into an existing collaboration workspace. Neither release supplies measured adoption or support-performance results. [1] [2]

Platform access and published subscription prices

A later review of HiFives’ public pricing page on October 19 found the two numeric subscription rates below. The plan cards describe Basic for 100–500 employees and Premium for 500–2,500. Premium+, described for 2,500 or more, has a custom price and explicitly lists Teams, HRMS, Slack and single-sign-on integrations. The displayed entry-plan rates therefore do not establish the cost of the newly announced Teams app. [4]

The data behind the story

HiFives’ two published subscription rates

Current public plan cards separate platform subscription fees from the value of employee gift-card rewards.

Observed October 19, 2026; not verified as the September 9 launch price. Premium+ is custom-priced and is not plotted. The plan cards place Teams integration in Premium+, so these two prices are not quotes for a Teams-enabled deployment. Reward funding, configuration and possible implementation costs are separate.

The pricing page separates subscription charges from rewards. It says customers pay the actual gift-card value redeemed, with no markup and no charge for unused points; reward funding uses a prepaid wallet. Integration scope, customization and headcount affect a quote, and a setup fee may apply. The same page’s general FAQ suggests around 200 active employees and describes broader integration access, so its plan cards should not be treated as a complete contract. [3] [4]

HiFives’ current FAQ advertises more than 10,000 global gift-card options through country-specific catalogues. It supports redemption using earned reward points; credit- and debit-card purchasing was previously offered but is no longer supported. That current catalogue statement is a vendor claim, not an audited inventory or a count of newly added rewards. [3]

According to the September chatbot release, support is available around the clock and uses account context, roles and permissions. Employees can ask about navigation and programme rules; administrators can seek guidance on configuration, approvals and reporting. HiFives says the large-language-model service stays within its security and privacy framework and transfers no user or company data to another platform. The notice does not supply an independent security assessment. [1]

Conversational nominations and reward redemptions, deeper programme insights, voice interaction and multilingual support were presented as future chatbot capabilities. The launch notice does not establish that the chatbot can execute gift-card redemption. [1]

The separate Teams announcement describes web, desktop and mobile access for recognition, updates and rewards, using the existing Microsoft 365 single-sign-on connection. It also describes access through Outlook and Microsoft 365. CEO and co-founder Sagar Chaudhuri links this to reducing application switching in everyday work. The releases do not identify a new gift-card issuer or change in redemption funding, publish deployment counts or quantify an adoption uplift. [2]
