Motivosity has launched My Team, a manager dashboard that combines recognition history, pending approvals, employee milestones and team sentiment in one view. Its accompanying Smart Actions feature uses AI to flag situations that may need attention, including employees who have gone without recognition. The rewards and recognition provider announced the release on September 22. [S01]
The product moves Motivosity further into managers' day-to-day work. A reward programme can offer a broad selection of redemption choices and still depend on a manager noticing an employee's contribution. My Team addresses that earlier step by organizing the information a manager sees before deciding whom to recognize and when.
Recognition gaps arise before reward selection
A separate survey conducted before My Team launched helps define the participation problem. HR Research Institute, working with Motivosity, gathered 5,538 responses in October 2025 for its 2026 culture report. Respondents were worldwide but predominantly North American, and 80% worked in midsize or large organizations. The report does not disclose sampling weights or the response base for each question. Self-reported meaningful recognition, not reward transactions or My Team usage. Overall survey n=5,538, predominantly North American; question-level bases and weighting are not disclosed. Each published rounded row totals 98%; values are reproduced without adjustment or an invented residual category.

| Category | Direct manager | Peers |
|---|---|---|
| Rarely or never | 12% | 10% |
| A few times a year | 25% | 25% |
| Monthly | 26% | 25% |
| Weekly | 27% | 27% |
| Daily | 8% | 11% |
The frequency chart distinguishes rare or absent recognition from recognition received a few times a year. It shows daily or weekly meaningful recognition from direct managers at 35%, compared with 38% from peers. These are employee reports about workplace practice, not Motivosity customer activity or evidence that Smart Actions changes behaviour. The chart's rounded categories total 98% in each row and are retained as printed. [S03]
The dashboard brings together information that would otherwise need to be checked across several parts of the platform. Upcoming birthdays and service anniversaries sit alongside recognition activity, outstanding approvals and sentiment data. Motivosity describes it as a central place for managers to review their teams each day. [S01]
Smart Actions analyzes engagement history, sentiment and forthcoming milestones, then highlights gaps and possible next steps. The company says the feature identifies moments for attention rather than generating recognition on a manager's behalf. That places the manager's decision and personal response between the software's prompt and the eventual expression of appreciation.
Founder and chief executive Scott Johnson said the problem often lies in managers lacking visibility into what is happening across their teams. The product is designed for enterprise organizations, remote and hybrid workforces, and growing companies. The release does not name a first customer or provide usage figures for My Team itself. [S01]
Motivosity operates a recognition and rewards platform whose marketplace includes more than 800 gift-card options. Employees can also access merchandise, charitable giving and other reward choices, while employers can curate the catalogue available to their people. Its marketplace reporting covers funding, redemptions and liabilities. [S02]
My Team adds a management layer around that established rewards service. Recognition history and approvals may help a manager understand participation before issuing another award; the marketplace then supplies choices for recipients. The announcement does not specify a change to gift-card availability, award budgets or redemption rules.
The commercial rationale is to make the broader platform useful between individual reward transactions. Managers who can see missed milestones or uneven recognition have more reasons to return to the software. Whether those prompts increase reward activity or improve retention remains a question for adoption data, which the launch release does not provide.
Motivosity cites company-wide adoption and engagement statistics in describing its existing business. Those figures cover the wider platform and should not be treated as results from the new dashboard. The company says more than 1,200 organizations use its services, but it does not disclose how many have enabled My Team or whether the new capabilities carry a separate charge. [S01]
