Reward Gateway | Edenred has introduced a financial-return guarantee for UK customers of EngagementOS, adding a performance condition to the commercial terms of its employee-benefits and rewards platform. The company announced the commitment on July 13, 2026. [S01]
The company's current guarantee page specifies the remedy: six months of free platform access if measured financial returns fail to exceed the customer's investment within 36 months. It is a commitment about the platform subscription, rather than a promise to increase the face value of employees' gift cards. [S02]
Who receives the return behind the guarantee
In the launch announcement, Reward Gateway cited analysis covering nearly 1,700 UK organisations. It reported more than £130 million in employer savings and £336 million in employee savings over the preceding year, alongside an average annual financial return of 3.64 times per organisation. These are the provider's reported platform results, not independently verified outcomes from the newly announced guarantee. [S01]

The employer bar marks the stated £130m lower bound, not an exact total; the source says more than this amount. Employee and employer savings have different beneficiaries and are not added or treated as employer profit. Exact annual endpoints, client-level distribution and an independently reproducible aggregate formula are not published. These are existing platform claims, not results of the new guarantee.

The guarantee page includes the Advanced and Performance packages and excludes Foundation. Reward Gateway says eligibility is confirmed for each organisation and contractual specifics are agreed when the contract is signed. Its published description therefore sets out the offer's main boundaries without replacing the individual customer agreement. [S02]
The calculation combines National Insurance contribution savings from salary sacrifice, employee shopping discounts and quantifiable financial effects of engagement. A client success manager tracks the results and reports the underlying calculations. Engagement scores themselves are outside the guarantee. [S02]
Reward Gateway's UK discounts service distributes savings through instant vouchers, reloadable cards, cashback and discount codes. Its public product description also identifies automatic voucher top-ups and reporting on participation, retailer performance and savings. Those mechanics connect employees' routine retail purchases with the value an employer sees reported by its benefits provider. [S03]
The company's recognition service has a separate role: employers can allocate awards that employees redeem for instant eGift cards, experiences or other reward choices. Buying a discounted voucher with personal funds and receiving an employer-funded recognition award are different transactions, even when both sit inside a broader engagement programme. [S04]
The guarantee follows Reward Gateway’s June Workday partnership, which connected employee records and recognition workflows. Together, the announcements address two different concerns for programme buyers: operating the service and demonstrating its value.
That distinction matters when interpreting a return figure. A saving enjoyed by an employee at a retailer benefits that employee; it is not automatically cash recovered by the employer. Reward Gateway's guarantee groups several kinds of value together, so the total should not be read as a measure of gift-card sales, redemption volume or employer profit.
UK managing director Joe Walsh framed the launch around making employee-engagement spending accountable to financial evidence. For rewards providers, the commercial change is the link between that evidence and future access fees. Employers gain a defined remedy if the agreed threshold is missed, while the usefulness of the comparison depends on which savings enter the calculation and who receives them. [S01]
